Lake Myrtle Park Sports Complex

Auburndale, Florida

ChastainSkillman | DCCM partnered with the City of Auburndale to support the expansion of its athletic facilities through the construction of four collegiate baseball fields, along with associated parking areas, concession facilities, and stormwater management systems. The project was developed on a 35-acre parcel, requiring extensive site evaluation and infrastructure planning.

Our team provided the following services:

Surveying & Environmental Services

  • Conducted a topographic survey of the entire project site
  • Completed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
  • Performed endangered species surveys, including:
    • Sand skink permitting in coordination with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
    • Gopher tortoise burrow surveys, permitting, and relocation services

Civil Engineering Design

  • Designed site grading, drainage, and stormwater management facilities
  • Developed utility infrastructure plans, including:
    • Potable water main extensions with fire protection provisions
    • Gravity sanitary sewer system
    • Reclaimed water main relocation and extensions
    • Underground electrical and fiber optic communication systems

Construction Documentation & Bidding

  • Prepared the project manual, technical specifications, and bid documents
  • Provided an opinion of probable construction cost
  • Supported the bidding process with contractor coordination and document issuance

Construction Administration

  • Conducted on-site construction observation and bi-weekly progress meetings
  • Reviewed contractor submittals and processed pay requests
  • Prepared project record drawings and close-out documentation
