ChastainSkillman | DCCM partnered with Florida Polytechnic University (FPU) to provide comprehensive surveying and civil engineering services for the development of Residence Halls 1 and 2—two five-story student housing facilities that enhance the on-campus living experience with modern amenities and recreational spaces.
Our team provided the following services:
Residence Hall No. 1
- Surveying & Construction Staking: High-precision horizontal and vertical control for the 90,000-square-foot structure
- Civil Engineering Design: Grading, drainage, and utility design
- Permitting: Coordination with FPU, the Florida State Fire Marshal, and the Southwest Florida Water Management District
- Construction Support: Construction observation and plan compliance verification
This residence hall accommodates 219 students and includes fully furnished suites, a game room, and a fitness center.
Residence Hall No. 2
- Surveying Services: Topographic survey and record survey
- Civil Site Design: Grading, drainage, and utility design, including potable water and sanitary sewer systems
- Site Planning & Construction Documents: Full civil plan set for the 135,000-square-foot building and adjacent pool and recreation area
- Permitting & Construction Administration: Coordination with regulatory agencies, construction observation, and project close-out documentation
This facility houses 538 students and features semi-suite accommodations, game rooms, study areas, computer labs, and shared recreational amenities.
